Benjamin Adam Roberts is an entrepreneur and Founding Partner of both the Business Edge Group and Porky Farms Ltd. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Ecobank Gambia and as its Chair of the Risk Committee. He is also a Board of Governor at Ndows Comprehensive Schools and a Non-Executive Director of CARITAS Gambia.
His work experience spans both the private and public sectors, having worked at Standard Chartered Bank Gambia and Databank Ghana. He served as State Minister with responsibility for the Tourism & Culture Portfolio. Before his appointment as Minister of Tourism & Culture, he was the Director General at the Gambia Tourism Board. He worked as Director, Business & Export Development, at the Gambia Investment & Export Promotion Agency.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with majors in Economics & Finance from Missouri Western State University, USA; a Master of Arts degree in Industrial Strategy & Trade Policy from The University of Manchester, UK and a Master of Social Science degree in Economics from the National University of Singapore. His research thesis was published in the International Trade Journal in 2004.
