Momat SM Jobe retired from the Gambia Revenue Authority in November 2023. At the Authority he served in various positions including Deputy Commissioner, Customs Enforcement and before that as Customs Manager Ports Operations and Customs Manager Post Clerance Audit. Mr. Jobe is currently the CEO of Saloum Clearing, Forwarding and General Merchandise.
His work experience spans over thirty years in Customs and prior to that had experience working at the Department of Agriculture and at Action Aid The Gambia. He served in the Gambia National Army, the Confederal Army and during his short stint in the army rose to the rank of Platoon Sergeant and had responsibility as a Drill Instructor.
He holds a Graduate and Advanced Diploma in Management Studies from MDI and Certifications in Risk Management, Marketing, Legal Studies, and Leadership & Management. He is certified by World Customs Organization in Customs Investigations and in Leadership & Management. He is recognized as a Member of the Drafting Team for the Security Sector Reform Strategy of The Gambia.
